Tales of the First Kiss

“Even after 15 years of kissing experience, I still get nervous about kissing a woman for the first time,” confessed an anonymous 30-year-old man to Glamour Magazine.

As part of their “True GUY Confession” series, Glamour has one man tell the tale of what it really feels like for a guy to go in for the first kiss.
“If I want to kiss a woman, it means I find her maddeningly sexy and attractive,” he said. “I’ll never be completely comfortable with the idea that a woman who is maddeningly sexy and attractive would ever REALLY want to kiss ME.”

He’s says that over the past 15 years, he’s learned that there are no perfect moments when it comes to timing and women can always tell when the kiss is coming. He also shares one last bit of knowledge for the ladies, “if you want to be kissed, take a moment to pause and make serious eye contact for multiple seconds at a time. I know you probably think you do this already, but I promise you don’t do it enough. We are really dense. Throw us a bone.”
Can you tell when a kiss is coming? We want to hear about your best and worst first kisses!

Let's Make Love, Not War

Come on baby let’s make love not war,
Come on baby what’re we fighting for?
Don’t let a silly fight keep us apart tonight
.

With the strain on our daily lives growing, there’s a need for couples to learn how to amicably solve issues. Peaceful conflict resolution releases the anger that causes accusations, threats, name-calling and cursing. According to Dr. Marie Hartwell-Walker, marriage and family therapist, nobody needs to be a monster or to be treated monstrously.

Healthy relationships require the skills necessary for “friendly fighting” – a means of engaging and working out differences that matter without harming others. Couples must support each other, even when differences are confusing, aggravating or disappointing.

To ensure that conflicts strengthen your relationship instead of harming it, here are ten tips for fighting friendly:
1. Embrace conflict
2. Go after the issue, not each other
3. Listen respectfully
4. Talk softly
5. Get curious, not defensive
6. Ask for specifics
7. Find points of agreement
8. Look for options
9. Make concessions
10. Make peace

Do you have any tricks that help you and your honey get out of sticky situations?

Just the Way You Are!

Don't go changing, to try and please me,

You never let me down before,

I took the good times, I'll take the bad times,

I'll take you just the way you are.

OK....well, maybe Billy Joel was right - guys like girls, just the way they are! After all, many times all those little things girls think they have to change for a guy really are the reasons why he fell in love with her in the first place!

Check out this month's Glamour and find a guy's perspective on why guys just love what girls do...silly or frivolous or not!

John (Glamour's guy) says, "As a sometimes sucker of a boyfriend myself, I’m well aware of how tempting it is to try too hard. But I’m tired, and I’ll bet you are as well. So consider this a to-don’t list, and chill."

So, put your glasses and your sweatpants on - take the makeup off and relax while reading the full article -- he loves YOU and all your little things that you do!
